Pusher-compatible realtime infrastructure

Every Event. Every Connection.

Build realtime applications without managing WebSocket infrastructure. Keep your existing SDKs, connect to Hibira, and deliver events instantly.

Free plan. No credit card required.

Build realtime experiences. Without rebuilding your stack.

Hibira provides Pusher-compatible realtime messaging, WebSocket channels, presence and push notifications through a scalable, developer-first platform.

Pusher-compatible realtime API

Speaks Pusher Channels protocol 7 and the HTTP API. pusher-js and every Pusher server SDK keep working: change the host and the credentials, nothing else.

WebSocket channels and presence

Public, private, presence and encrypted channels, client events and webhooks. Who-is-online lists stay correct across nodes, and large presence channels hold up to 100,000 members.

Push notifications

Hibira Push sends to iOS (APNs), Android (FCM) and browsers (Web Push) through a Beams-compatible API, with subscriber and interest management.

Built for Laravel Echo and pusher-js

Laravel Broadcasting and Echo work with the pusher driver you already configure. Guides for PHP, Node.js, Python, Go, Ruby, Java, .NET, Swift, Kotlin and Flutter.

Scalable infrastructure

A Go realtime server that scales out across nodes, with Redis or Valkey carrying events, presence and limits between them.

Transparent usage and pricing

Only the events you publish count; delivering one event to ten thousand subscribers costs the same as delivering it to one. Live usage per app and hard limits, so there are no surprise charges.

Developer documentation

Step-by-step guides with your own host and keys filled in once you sign in, plus a migration guide from Pusher Channels.

AI agent integration

Hibira MCP lets Claude Code, Cursor and other agents create apps, fill in your .env, check usage and watch the debug console.

Switch from Pusher in three steps

  1. Create an appSign up and create an app to get its ID, key and secret.
  2. Update your settingsSet the host and credentials in Laravel and in Echo or pusher-js.
  3. DeployBroadcast as before. Watch connections and messages live in your dashboard.
// resources/js/echo.js
window.Echo = new Echo({
  broadcaster: 'pusher',
  key: import.meta.env.VITE_PUSHER_APP_KEY,
  wsHost: 'ws.hibira.io',
  wsPort: 443,
  forceTLS: true,
  enabledTransports: ['ws', 'wss'],
  cluster: 'hkg',
});

Frequently asked questions

What is Hibira?

Hibira is a hosted realtime WebSocket service that speaks the Pusher Channels protocol. You keep pusher-js, Laravel Echo and the Pusher server SDKs and only change the host.

How is Hibira different from Pusher?

Hibira uses the same protocol and SDKs but runs in Asia-Pacific, works in seven languages and counts only the events you publish, not deliveries.

How much does Hibira cost?

Hibira is free up to 100 peak connections and 200,000 messages a day. Paid plans cost US$35 to US$699 a month, for up to 30,000 peak connections; Enterprise starts at US$2,500.

Can I use pusher-js with Hibira?

Yes. pusher-js connects to Hibira over WebSockets with the same API: set wsHost to your Hibira host and keep your channels, events and auth endpoints. Laravel Echo, PusherSwift and the other Pusher client libraries work the same way.

What is a hosted WebSocket service?

A hosted WebSocket service keeps realtime connections open to your users’ browsers and apps, so your backend can push events to them instantly without running WebSocket servers. Your server publishes over a simple HTTP API; Hibira handles connections, scaling, presence and private channels.

Do I need to change my code?

No. Point your Pusher host settings at us and use the key and secret from your dashboard. Your channels, events and authorization endpoints stay the same.
